Solstave began with a home that was always meant to hold people
What does Solstave mean?
Solstave comes from two words, Solstice and Ave.
Solstice is the sacred turning point, the moment when the sun appears to stand still before entering a new season. It carries illumination, wisdom, maturity, and the fullness that comes from a life well lived.
Ave is a blessing and a welcome. From the Latin, it means hail, greetings, be well. It honors what is sacred, recognizes worth, and invites a person to step forward.
Together, Solstave names the sacred season when a woman stands in the fullness of her light and welcomes herself home. It is the season when she steps into her sovereignty, her wisdom, and her authentic self. The turning point where striving gives way to knowing, where self-doubt yields to self-acceptance, and where she embraces the fullness of who she has become.
The house came first
I imagined raising my children somewhere their friends would gather, where community could come together, and where people would know they had a place to belong. Over the years the property became exactly that.
My father built the planters and the treehouse. I planted a tree for each of my children. My sister created the memory garden. The Fountain of Hope honors my grandmother. Every part of this land carries a story, and most of them are about someone being held.
What I actually do here
I meet you where you are. I listen. I ask deeper questions than you are used to being asked, and then I stop talking long enough for you to find your own answer.
From there you move into body care, movement, rest, nature, or whatever the conversation revealed you needed. Licensed practitioners handle the body-care work.
I am not here to fix you. You are not broken, and I would not presume to know what you should become.
You do not have to be selfless here
I want this to be a place where you get to be deeply attentive to yourself. I want you to be genuinely selfish with your own time while you are on this property.
You can exhale. You can be seen without judgment. You can remember your dreams, your joy, your boundaries, and your own authority.
You do not have to have it all figured out. You have always known.
